Port agreement brings Margaritaville at Sea to Galveston in 2027

The Galveston Wharves Board of Trustees unanimously approved an agreement with Margaritaville at Sea on August 25. The Port’s announcement said the cruise line would begin weekly sailings from Cruise Terminal 28 in October 2027. The initial agreement covers one year, with options for two additional five-year terms.
The planned service adds another choice for travelers departing from Galveston for the Caribbean and Central America. Port Director and CEO Rodger Rees said the line would add Friday departures to the port’s schedule. The Port also described continuing investment in cruise facilities, transportation improvements and passenger amenities to support demand.
